How to check caustic Alkalinity for boiler water sample.
Method
\ Firstly 10ml water sample take.
\ Then add 1.5ml {10%} barium caloride solution (bacl).
\ Then shake it well
\ Then add white PPTS (pyridinium p toluenesulfonate)
\ Then add phenophlene indicator
\ Then Triturate it against 0.1N HCL solution
Formula
ML used ×500. = caustic Alkalinity ppm
